Dr. Botcha Jhansi Lakshmi is the Secretary & Correspondent of Satya Institute of Technology and Management (SITAM), Vizianagaram. She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and has contributed to the development of the Satya Group of Institutions.

Public Service

Dr. Botcha Jhansi Lakshmi previously served as Chairperson of the Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad and as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing Bobbili and later Vizianagaram. Her parliamentary tenure included the 15th Lok Sabha (2009–2014).

During the 15th Lok Sabha, PRS India records her participation in 146 debates and 377 questions, with 88% attendance for the period covered by its MP Track data.

Educational Leadership

As Secretary & Correspondent, she provides leadership and strategic guidance for institutional academic and development activities. Her educational initiatives emphasize academic excellence, student development, scholarships, skill development, innovation, and social responsibility. She has participated in institutional programmes, including the Sri Majji Ramarao & Sri Botcha Guru Naidu Memorial Merit Scholarship Awards, where she addressed students and presented merit awards.
