NCC & NSS

Sitam offers both National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) programs. These programs provide students with opportunities for holistic development, including community service, leadership training, and character building

National Service Scheme (NSS): NSS is a Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. It aims to engage student youth in community service activities. NSS provides hands-on experience in delivering community service. SIT has three NSS units with 300 volunteers and 3 program officers. NSS volunteers participate in activities like cleanliness drives, health camps, and awareness programs.

National Cadet Corps (NCC): NCC is a youth development movement involving students from schools and colleges. It aims to develop character, comradeship, discipline, and leadership qualities. NCC also aims to create a pool of trained and motivated youth for the armed forces. SIT's NCC unit aims to instill patriotism and a sense of social responsibility.
